Sock Yarn - Our Alpacas - Medium-Weight

This 3 ply sock yarn is a product of a few of our white/natural alpacas: Cyrus, Paloma, and Dublin. This yarn will produce cozy hand-crafted socks with a natural hue. If you prefer, the soft white is a perfect backdrop for dyeing. Of course, sock yarn isn't just for socks. The added nylon gives the yarn a nice drape and durability for other projects as well.
70% alpaca, 20% fine merino, 10% nylon
Approximately 250 yards/100 gram skein
Homegrown
Do not put alpaca in hot water, agitate it, or dry in a dryer or on a heat source.
Soak in room temperature water with gentle detergent or shampoo for 30 minutes, rinse, gently squeeze away excess water, and lay flat to dry.
Wipe soiled area with a damp cloth free from soap, and allow it to air dry. Gently brush fur when dry and shake to fluff.
