About Our Farm

Where we began

In 2003, with two small children, we found ourselves looking for a positive way to balance our busy working lives with a return to country values. As a young family, with limited acreage and little farming experience, we saw in alpacas a rewarding hobby and farm business opportunity. After visiting area farms, we fell in love with the fuzzy top knots; large, expressive eyes; and peaceful disposition of the alpaca. We were hooked!

When it came to naming the farm, it seemed fitting to name it after the small town in Ireland where Shannon’s late father was born, recognizing that he too would have been captivated by these intelligent and curious creatures!

Where we are now

We are home to a small herd of double-registered, award-winning huacaya females; and internationally recognized, champion herdsires. We feature some of the top bloodlines in the industry. Our farm boasts a fully stocked on-site store, farm events, educationalsupport for new owners, and workshops in the fibre arts. With each passing year we are filled with excitement at the changes and growth within the alpaca industry!

Where we are going

Our farm's focus is on fibre and the importance of proven genetics in moving a herd's fibre production to its next level of quality and longevity. In keeping with our emphasis on the benefits of the fleece, we are committed to presenting alpaca products from a variety of sources: homegrown, farming co-operatives, global partnerships and Peruvian imports. By working together, locally and internationally, we can breed a superior alpaca industry!
